About Chapters

Most famously known as the “producers that could write music before they could speak”, Chapters is a pop production duo comprised of Luke Shrestha and Simon Jay.

“Because we learned music at the age of 4, we were learning how to write melodies and craft songs at the same time we were discovering what language was. In many ways, we communicate through music and storytelling better than words,” they’ve said.

Contributing to many of the music industry’s top artists and events, they believe in raising the value of everything they touch. From red-carpet events like the Grammys, the Emmys, the Kennedy Center Honors; to artists like Olivia Rodrigo, Tayler Holder, Ai Bendr, Faime, Gabbie Hanna, Jena Rose, Madonna, Zaryah, Richard Carpenter, and Paul Anka, many artists and brands seek them out personally for their expertise and musicality.

Most recently, they have been working with brands such as the NBA, Audemars Piguet, Puma, Disney+, Amazon, and HBO. They produced the music for the popular Hulu show, “Only Murders In The Building”, starring Selena Gomez, Steve Martin, and Martin Short. They also orchestrated the album “Sincera”, by Claudia Brant, which won Best Latin Pop Album at the 2019 Grammy Awards.

Chapters’ sound comes from being able to channel the vision of every artist they work with into heart-felt and polished records. Music is a straight-line to emotions and Chapters are experts at bringing ‘the feel’ to the forefront of a track. Their extensive background in film and tv has given them a unique set of tools when crafting the soul and character of a record. Chapters is also sought out for executive producing artists, having directed many 100-person plus productions. Knowing what it takes to bring a project from start to finish, even past creating the music, is a special skill that allows the artist to stay focused on the creative.
